Based in Helsinki, Finland
My sound practice spans performances, compositions, installations, new musical instruments, audio-visual works, and collaborative events. Through my work, I explore political and ecological realities, speculative futures, our relationship with nature, and personal memory. By combining sound with physical materials, video, and spatial or interactive methods, I extend listening into multisensory and immersive experiences.
By exploring imagined futures and personal inner journeys, I invite audiences to reflect on their own position within these realities. Sensory forms allow me to unfold tension of emotional ambiguity and nuance. Making is both a method of inquiry and a way to open dialogue around lived, meaningful experiences.
I begin each project by asking how an experience can be conveyed through sound and expanded upon using material and spatial methods. Research and prototyping guide this process in collaborative and participatory contexts. I use tools such as Ableton, Max/MSP, Pure Data, various coding environments, and combine field recordings, synthesis, resonant materials, and sensors with multichannel setups, site-specific formats, and physical objects.
Through these immersive environments, I reveal emotional structures shaped by systemic realities. In an age dominated by immediacy, this creates a space for introspection and insight, that opens up alternative ways of relating.
