Beeswax candles and glass candleholder.

A glass candleholder, transformed into a speaker using an exciter, holds a burning beeswax candle. As the candle drips, the objects become resonant bodies, gradually shaped by layers of melting wax that shift the sound.
Lighting a candle as a ritual may offer comfort in chaos or remembrance during grief, but it may also set things on fire and burn them down. Reflecting on the fragility of the systemic foundations we rely upon, the piece provides an introspective listening space for witnessing what remains after a fire, inviting the audience to reflect on their personal experiences of collapse.
